Frequently Asked Questions
Steel Roofing Essentials
What is box profile cladding used for?
Box profile cladding (32/1000) is the most popular steel roofing profile for agricultural buildings, industrial units, garages, and sheds. It provides excellent weather protection, structural rigidity, and a modern appearance.
How long do steel roofing sheets last?
With proper installation, steel roofing sheets with a Plastisol coating can last 30-40 years, while Polyester-coated sheets typically last 15-25 years. The lifespan depends on the coating type, gauge, and environmental conditions.
What is Drip Stop anti-condensation?
Drip Stop is a felt membrane bonded to the underside of steel roofing sheets. It absorbs condensation that forms on the sheet and releases it back into the atmosphere when conditions improve, preventing dripping inside the building.
